You will need…
Jeans
Pink daisy braid: 1m
Gathered broderie anglaise with pink gingham edging: 1m
Hand-stitching needle
Sewing thread
Sewing machine (optional)
Iron
General sewing supplies
TipAdditionallace, ricrac and ribbon may be required for larger jeans. Measure thewidth of each jean leg before purchasing materials to ensure you haveenough.
Method
Measurethe circumference of each jean leg around the hem stitching. Add 1.5cmto this measurement and, from the broderie anglaise, cut two piecesthat measure this length. Press under 7.5mm at each end of the broderieanglaise.
Stitch the gingham edge of thebroderie anglaise to the jeans over the hem stitching. Using a ladderstitch, hand-stitch the raw edges of the broderie anglaise together.
Usingthe measurement from step 1, cut two lengths from the pink daisy braid.Stitch one length to each jean leg, 3mm above the broderie anglaise.Measure the width of the back jean pockets, cut two lengths from thepink daisy braid and stitch one piece to each pocket.
