>Here are some tips that are needed to be followed while designing your own jeans.
1. Best tip: Jeans sit on your hips, not your waist.
2. Overall winner for women: The best look for most is a boot-cut that sits naturally on hips and buttons a little below your belly button. A lower rise with a nice long rub on front gives legs more length and a leaner look.
3. Overall winner for men: A good relaxed-fit jean with good room always wins the comfort battle.
4. Be careful when choosing: High Waists/Tapered legs-They can be very unflattering. Use them only when absolutely necessary.
5. Size of pockets are important (which is why we take care of this for you): Super small pockets may make your backside larger while super sized pockets may take away from your most flattering curves. We will supply appropriately sized pockets for your ease of mind.
6. Keep in mind the different leg openings:Flare – Wider than a boot-cut – the larger the flare the more unflattering and stout it will look on a shorter girl. We’ll determine the appropriate flare width for you based on your measurements.Straight – Knee and ankle are the same width.Boot-cut – Ankle is 1″ or and 1 1/2″ wider than the knee.Tapered – Ankle is more narrow than the knee.
7. For low rise jeans, your “Waist” is where You want the jeans to sit on your hips – Not necessarily where your natural waistline might be. Be sure to use this measurement consistently throughout your measuring process (i.e.. use it as the starting point for your waist to widest point, full crotch, seated crotch, knee length and sideseam measurements). If the waist is cutting in too much it may cause love handles…A slightly higher rise may fix that. Please make sure to mark that your jean is a low-rise if that’s what you want. Typical low rise jeans average about 3 inches below your belly button.
