>Diamond Care & Diamond Cleaning Tips
Written by sudha on December 3, 2007>Diamonds act as natural magnets to oil and grease, it is quite difficult to clean them. The best way to clean diamonds is to soak them overnight in an ammonia-based cleaner like the household cleaner once or twice every week. Remove the diamonds from the cleaner liquid in the morning and brush them with a clean, soft toothbrush to remove all the residual dirt. Brush the back of the diamond, as it has maximum deposits of dirt and oil. You can also use ultrasonic cleaners to clean diamonds and get rid of all the dirt coating. Avoid wearing diamonds when you are cleaning around the house. Use protective gloves and avoid harsh chemical based cleaners. Do not wear diamonds while you are in hot tubs or swimming pools as the chlorine levels are high. More information
