>Color – Aquamarine ranges in color from oceanic blue to sky blue to a vibrant teal. Though color is a personal preference but to give you an idea of the cost, the most celebrated color of aquamarine is deep sky blue, the bluer the costlier. So if you are attracted to lighter hues or mixed hues like the teal you can enjoy the added benefit of reduced costs.

Clarity – Aquamarine usually occurs clearer as compared other gemstones and an ‘eye clean’ aquamarine is not a rarity. Also since the color of the gemstone is light look for a clear stone else the inclusions will be very prominent.

Carat – Aquamarine crystals are usually large in size so a large stone would not cost you exorbitantly high.

Cut – Any, seriously any. Given the versatility of the gemstone it looks beautiful in any cut. Look for a cut and shape that suits the design of the jewelry.

Cost – Usually priced very reasonably, aquamarines are amongst the most affordable gemstones. Brazilian aquamarines are the most valuable of all for their beautiful color.
